About Dr Didaskalu’s Dental Practice

Our emphasis is on caring for the whole person - a holistic approach to dentistry that looks at the well-being of the entire person, rather than concentrating solely on isolated symptoms and problems. We are aware of possible effects that dental work and materials can cause for the whole body. All our organs, glands, muscular system and the neural system are interconnected and relate to each other. Any possible stress through a certain dental material or an infection in the mouth may create a problem in a distant part of the body.

Our Team

Dr. Peter Didaskalu

Dr Peter Didaskalu (ADC Cert, med dent Hamburg) was born in Germany and graduated in dentistry in Hamburg. For several years, he ran a dental practice in Hamburg and was in partnership with one of the forerunners of holistic dentistry in Germany. His interest in the 'whole patient’ has led him to study complementary treatment modalities like homoeopathy and Bach Flower remedies, Kinesiology and Reiki.

Peter has been practising dentistry since 1997 in Ballarat and opened his current dental practice on Drummond Street North in 2005. He is a member of the GZM (the German Holistic Dental Association) and ASOMAT (Australian Society of Oral Medicine and Toxicology) and the ADA (Australian Dental Association).
